Town of Arborg

Located in the Heart of the Interlake, Arborg is fortunate to boast a wealth of services that provide for a healthy and dynamic community.

Minutes away from Hecla Provincial Park and two of the largest fresh water lakes in North America, Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba, Arborg can provide numerous recreational opportunities to residents and visitors.

Arborg is home to over 6.0km of trails and numerous parks. Civic Pride Park was developed from unused land along the Icelandic River and features a cedar gazebo that is utilized by families for relaxation during an evening stroll and community events. A statue of a fireman was erected to celebrate the local volunteer fire department and other community groups.

The highlight of Arborg is the drive down Main Street. Not only will you find a bustling business sector, but also an array of colours. The trees, hanging baskets, and planters bring life and vibrancy to the area that cannot go un-noticed.

Further investigation in the community reveals a beautiful paved river walk that is highlighted by numerous flower plots that are maintained by volunteers. The river walk leads to a floating bridge on the Icelandic River, a popular destination for youth and families to watch the different types of aquatic life; frogs, fish, ducks, and geese.

Come for a visit, and see why Arborg is the Heart of the Interlake.
